Trina Solar, which will be responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction of the project, will install its solar panels on stores and warehouses of Fresh Fruits Company.

The project, which is expected to start construction in March, 2014, will use Trina Solar TSM-PC05A Honey 260 Wp modules that are suitable to dry and high temperature conditions prevalent in the Middle East.

The project, which is estimated to produce 3,200 MWh every year, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2014.

Trina Solar chairman and CEO Jifan Gao said the successful selection as the EPC provider for this project demonstrates company’s ability to develop large-scale projects in the Middle East.

"Solar energy provides Jordan with a viable alternative and we see huge potential for growth in this market," Gao added.
