Located in the federal state of Brandenburg, the project employs close to 252,000 multi-crystalline Trina Solar modules, each with an average output of more than 240W.
Unternehmensberatung & Beteiligungsgesellschaft CEO Alfred Behrens remarked that the Trina was the main module supplier for the project.
"Because construction advanced well ahead of schedule, we ordered an additional 5.5MW of modules, which Trina Solar was able to provide and deliver to the site in just three days," said Behrens.
Trina Solar Europe head Ben Hill added, "Their decision to work with Trina Solar clearly endorses our corporate strategy and priorities: high quality and adherence to schedules, and being flexible when parameters change – these are the ingredients you need to make large-scale projects like this successful."
The solar farm is spread across a former military field and has now been fully commissioned to produce sufficient power for 17,000 households per annum.
