TRC chairman and chief executive officer Chris Vincze said the acquisition is in line with TRC’s growth strategy.
"Also, RMT’s Environmental Business Unit provides us access to a deep and attractive roster of industrial clients, which allows substantial cross-selling opportunities," Vincze said.
The RMT unit has projected net service revenue of approximately $27m for 2011.
RMT’s Environmental Business Unit offers consulting, development, engineering and construction serives through remediation and restoration; environmental, health and safety management; air pollution control; and solid waste management offerings.
