TCP is a consortium comprising Transmission Capital Partners Partnership and International Public Partnerships.
The consortium was selected as part of the third offshore transmission owner (OFTO) tender round.If a deal is finalized, the OFTO will operate the transmission assets for the wind farm over the next 20 years.
The tender worth around £400m also includes transmission links to Humber Gateway offshore farm.
Featuring 35 turbines, the Westermost Rough wind farm covers an area of 35km², and is located eight kilometers off the coast of Yorkshire.
Westermost Rough, a joint venture of DONG Energy, Marubeni and UK Green Investment Bank, currently owns the transmission assets for the project. The transmission assets are valued at £172.3m.
