The blades will be manufactured at TPI’s factory in Juarez, Mexico and it would be used by Gamesa to serve the wind projects in the US and Mexico as well as for export to other emerging regional markets.
TPI Composites president Steve Lockard said, "We are very pleased to add Gamesa as a key customer for our Mexico operation.
"Gamesa is an international wind leader with very strong ties to the US and Mexican markets. Recent strong US orders validate the new G114 2MW model (pictured) as one of the most efficient turbines in the market at medium and low wind speeds."

The Juarez factory, presently 100% owned by TPI, was formerly operated as a joint venture under the name of VienTek.
According to TPI, the company is in the process of rehiring about 600 former VienTek employees.
