TMUK plans to produce 30,000 Auris Hybrids annually. The company intends to sell the vehicle in 32 European countries and expects to begin the sales of the vehicle on July 1.
The start of production of Auris Hybrid marks the culmination of many years of understanding and cooperation from the local people and the efforts of TMUK’s employees for the development of the hybrid vehicle, the company said.
Toyota Motors plans to use the European market as a platform to develop new technologies, and build on its strategy by steadily shifting its focus to hybrid vehicles. The company aims to continue its efforts in creating hybrid vehicles and to study market needs by region to provide products that satisfy customer needs.
