To be delivered in 2016, the STG will be installed at Duyen Hai 3 Extension Coal-fired Power Plant in Duyên H?i Power Station, in Vietnam.

Owned by Vietnam Electricity, the Duyen Hai 3 will see an investment of around $1.37bn.

The plant is being developed as part of the Vietnamese Government’s strategy to cater to the increasing power demand in the region.

Expected to become operational in 2018, the Duyen Hai 3 Extension Coal-fired Power Plant will have an installed capacity of around 1,244MW.

In addition to Duyen Hai 3, the Duyên H?i Power Station houses Duyen Hai 1 and 2 plants, as well as a seaport coal terminal with a capacity to handle 12 million tonnes of coal and oil annually.

Toshiba also has supply contracts in hand for Vung Ang 1 Thermal Plant, Thai Binh 2 Thermal Plant and Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Plant in Vietnam.
