The company is planning to employ both sonic core drilling and air core drilling techniques to drill 370 holes over a 7,000 meter drilling program at the deposits including Lake Way, Millipede and Dawson Hinkler.
The company has launched the drilling operation to advance the Wiluna project towards mine development decision beginning at the Centipede and Lake Way deposits.
Toro Energy managing director Vanessa Guthrie stated: ""With the recent completion of government environmental approvals for mining at Centipede and Lake Way, Toro is continuing to advance the project and position it a step closer to being Western
Australia’s first uranium mine."
The company claims that this infill drilling program is the largest single drilling program it has undertaken on the Wiluna uranium
project.
It has secured federal approval for the mine comprising Centipede and Lake Way that is estimated to have resources of approximately 54 million pounds of uranium.
