Titan Energy Worldwide has announced that its subsidiary, Stellar Energy Services, has won a contract to supply three emergency engine generator systems to Great Plains Communications, a provider of local and nationwide long distance telephone service and local dial-up internet access.
The backup systems will provide emergency power to cellular communication towers throughout Nebraska.
The emergency power system that Stellar is providing includes 3kW to 25kW natural gas engine generators with outdoor sound attenuated enclosures. Each system also includes one Generac automatic transfer switch. The automatic transfer switch continually monitors the incoming utility, if there is a loss of power the system will automatically start and transfer the cell tower onto the engine generator.
Mike Marcinek, sales engineer of Stellar Energy, said: We’re pleased that Great Plains Communications continues to award Stellar with new orders for emergency backup systems. Our forecast includes another eight units within the next several months. Our support of telecommunications companies in our territory continues to grow.
