The company will drill the planned wells to collect the geological information in its 100% owned DR11 permit located in the northern section of the Perth basin and integrate the log data from the wells with the historic seismic surveys to accurately map the geological units.

Titan will execute the stratigraphic drilling program to identify the contact between the upper Jurassic Yarragadee formation, the middle Jurassic Cadda formation and the Cattamarra coal measures.

Titan Energy managing director Stephen Thomas said the company is optimistic by the initial results other companies have reported in the nearby permits.

"The EP455 permit in which we hold an 18.5% interest, bounds the same tectonic structure as NWE’s recent Arrowsmith-2 well and will be drilled and evaluated within the next 12 months, while DR11 also includes the same formation targets," Thomas added.

Evaluation of the historic drilling results of selected well sites indicates that the intervals may potentially be located at shallow depths.

Titan is planning to initially drill the Warradarge wells for a depth of about 400m and if needed will spud them up to 700m.

The chip samples and logging suites from the wells will be gathered to assess the geologic sequence at the drill site.
