The new high-voltage lithium storage system has been optimised to be used along with 3-phase battery inverters manufactured by another German manufacturer SMA Group.

According to Tesvolt, the new TS HV 70 system features a battery voltage ranging from 575 to 1,000 volts.

SMA Off-Grid and Storage business unit executive vice president Volker Wachenfeld said: “Combining TESVOLT storage systems and the Sunny Tripower Storage inverters results in a streamlined and highly efficient solution for high-voltage applications.

"Together we are optimising power supply for industrial and commercial enterprises.”

Tesvolt says that the storage system has an operating life of up to 30 years. It claims that the TS HV 70 system bring cost effective results for customers as it has been made based on efficient power electronics and cell technology.

The TS HV 70 is Tesvolt’s solution in the commercial sector for particularly demanding applications, said Tesvolt engineering director Simon Schandert, especially for the ones that would need a minimum of 30kWh of storage capacity.

Schandert added: “This model is specifically geared toward economic viability and boasts outstanding performance, maximum safety and unparalleled efficiency. With the system, storage costs of less than 10 euro cents per kWh can be achieved.

“This opens up a new, cost-effective option for our customers, because the investment costs for the system and the price per stored kWh are so low.”

TS HV is a high-voltage system having a charge rate of 1C. The storage system enables peak load capping besides increasing self-consumption.

Tesvolt said that the storage system also provides different grid system services along with off-grid operation via a diesel generator.
