Groupement TouatGaz is a partnership between state-owned Sonatrach and France-based GDF Suez operating the Touat field.

Phase I of the development plan covers EPCC and startup of natural gas treatment complex in 2016 with annual production capacity of 4.5 billion standard cubic meters of gas and 630,000 barrels of condensate.

Groupement TouatGaz has already commenced drilling natural gas production wells to meet the needs of the complex. It plans to drill 25 wells in the first phase before startup date of the project.

The natural gas treatment complex includes gas gathering systems, gas and condensate processing units, compressors, impurity removal units and dehydration units.

Tecnicas Reunidas said these facilities will be tied to the upcoming gas pipeline GR-5 towards the National Gas Dispatching Center of Hassi R’Mel (CNDG), where gas will be gathered and supplied to clients.
