Under the terms of the agreement, Technip will manufacture 24km of 6in gas injection flexible lines for the project, underwater at a depth of 2,250m in the Santos basin off the Brazilian coast, as well as 18km of flowlines.

The lines will be used to re-inject produced gas into the reservoir to adhere to new Brazilian environmental regulation, the company said.

Technip-operated flexible pipe plants will manufacture the pipelines, which will be delivered in two batches, the first of which will be supplied this year while the second will arrive in the first quarter of 2013.
