France-based Technip has won a contract from Hibernia Management and Development Co for the Hibernia Southern Extension project in Canada.

The subsea project, which is part of the continuing Hibernia field development, is located on the Grand Banks about 315 kms offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, in approximately 90 meters of water.

Under the contract, Technip will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for flexible flowline and steel tube umbilical, together with the installation of all subsea equipment.

The contract will be executed by the company’s operating center in St John’s, Canada.

Technip is a provider of project management, engineering and construction services for the oil and gas industry.
