France-based Technip has been awarded a frame agreement for engineering studies by Statoil Brasil Oleo & Gas.

The three-year contract covers feasibility, concept and front-end engineering design studies for Statoil’s existing offshore production fields and future developments in Brazil.

Technip’s operating center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will perform all the work, with support from the the company’s European centers.

Technip said it previously carried out similar feasibility, conceptual and front-end engineering design projects for Petrobras, OGX, OSX and Maersk in Brazil.

Technip is a provider of project management, engineering and construction services for the oil and gas industry.
