Tupi BV is a consortium controlled by Petrobras Netherland BV (65%), and also includes BG (25%) and Galp (10%).
Technip Brazil president Adriano Novitsky said: "This award confirms the flexible pipe as a reliable and optimized solution for the pre-salt challenging applications and Technips´ technological leadership in this business. It follows the flexible pipe supply contract awarded last year for the Iracema Sul field."
Under the contract, Technip will also supply 114km of flexible pipes, including gas lift, gas injection and gas export lines in order to meet pre-salt challenges.
The engineering and project management will be carried out by Technip’s operating center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Delivery is scheduled to commence in the first half of 2015.
The highly technological flexible pipes will have service life for up to 30 years as, sour service application, water depths of up to 2,500m and high pressures to inject gas in the reservoir.
The flexible pipes will be developed by Technip at its manufacturing sites in Vitoria and Açu, Brazil.
