As part of the deal, Technip will construct and install Jalilah B platform, 900-ton deck, 500-ton jacket and 13 new risers on existing platforms.
The contract also includes installation of pipelines ranging from 6in to 24in in diameter, while the company will use three specialised vessels, including G120, for work in both deep and shallow water.
The project, which will be executed from Technip’s operating center in Abu Dhabi, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2014.
Technip Middle East senior vice president Vaseem Khan said the contract reflects clients trust in company’s capabilities to safely and successfully execute complex projects in one of the most congested fields in the UAE.
"We are delighted to be awarded this new project, a few months after the successful completion of our first subsea project in the Middle East for DPE, for the South West Fateh and Falah fields," Khan added.
