Under the first contract, Technip Samsung Consortium will provide front-end engineering design (FEED) service for the project.
The second contract involves installation of three FLNG units, subject to final investment decision at the end of the FEED.
The Browse LNG project will adopt Shell’s FLNG and Woodside’s offshore and subsea development experience.
The three FLNG platforms will be used to develop the Brecknock, Calliance and Torosa fields located in the Browse Basin, Western Australia.
The Browse joint venture shareholders include MIMI Browse with 14.4%, Woodside Browse with 30.6%, Shell Development (Australia) with 27%, BP Developments Australia with 17.33% and PetroChina International Investment (Australia) with 10.67% interests.
