The company has already an installed wind energy generation capacity of 398MW with projects across the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, the Press Trust of India reports.

Recently, the company increased wind generation capacity by 43%, from 569 million units in fiscal year 2012 to 813 million units in fiscal year 2013.

Tata Power managing director Anil Sardana said that the company is proud to have increased its wind generation capacity by a record of 43%, which proves its commitment towards to generating 20-25%of its total generation capacity from clean energy sources.

The company has a total installed generation capacity of 8,500 MW in India.
