The company is keen to commence operations at the prospect that was acquired through staking. Management is planning to mobilize crew to the target shortly, the company stated.

TAD Mineral Exploration director Jason Gigliotti remarked that the basin is one of the potential uranium districts in the world housing multiple prospective deposits.

"We plan to embark on an aggressive work program on this project. Management of TAD has let its shareholders down in the past with a lack of focus.

"We plan on becoming much more active to enhance shareholder value and this is the first step in that direction," revealed Gigliotti.

The Athabasca Basin located in northern part of Saskatchewan province reportedly produces over 20 per cent of the current world uranium production with significant higher average grade of about 0.2% uranium.

In addition, majority of the deposits of the basin have an average grade of more than 3% with Cigar Lake and McArthur River reporting average grades of 20% and 24% respectively.
