Each comprising a 2.1MW capacity the company will supply 29.4MW turbines for Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) in the Kutch district of Gujarat and 10.5MW for Bharat Electronics (BEL) in the Davangere District of Karnataka.
Both projects are expected to be commissioned by December 2013.
Suzlon energy India and emerging markets CEO Rohit Modi commented on the order saying that Suzlon has once again partnered with the two PSUs with focus on propelling sustainable energy and consequently the development of a low carbon economy in India.
"India has immense wind potential; and the central and state PSUs are leading the wave of powering India through renewable energy for a greener tomorrow," said Modi.
Once commissioned, the projects would take GSFC’s and BEL’s total installed capacity to 152.80MW and 13.5MW respectively.
