The company will provide S88-2.1MW turbines, under a full engineering, procurement and construction agreement.
The company said with the new agreement, the total renewable energy portfolio of Serum Institute will increase up to 60 MW.
Serum Institute of India chairman Cyrus Poonawalla was quoted by Economic Times as saying that as an organisation, they committed to conservation of the environment and are constantly seeking ways to reduce carbon footprint from their business operations.
"We see wind as a smart option with its techno-economic maturity and comparatively lower risks," said Poonawalla.
