Truher joins Sustainable Spaces from Google, the world’s largest online search company, where he was engineering director. At Google, he worked on search and maps infrastructure.
At Epinions.com, Truher was responsible all product development. When Epinions.com became a part of Shopping.com, Truher became chief architect and vice president of Engineering, responsible for all search and user-facing website technology.
Prior to joining Epinions.com, Truher was chief technology officer at Lycos, where he led the team responsible for search engine products and research.
Truher has earned his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and his Bachelor of Art degree in Physics and Math from UC Santa Cruz.
Additionally to the appointment, Sustainable Spaces also recently announced it was the first California contractor to receive Building Performance Institute accreditation. At the end of 2008, the company was awarded the Best Overall Flex Your Power Award and ranked number 16 out of 100 on the fastest growing companies in San Francisco Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.
