Headquartered in Mayfield, Kentucky, WKRECC provides power to over 31,000 members in Graves, Carlisle, Calloway, Livingston, Hickman and Marshall Counties in Kentucky and in Henry County, Tennessee, US.
Apart from Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server, the new system also features the company’s multiple open system applications, including SmartVU, Command Sequencing, Disturbance Data Capture, Event Data Recording, SCADA Add-In, IED Wizard and Control Panel.
Additional applications include Remote Alarm Annunciation, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, Switch Order Preparation, NDA API/PI Interface, MultiSpeak, System Configuration Status (SCS), SCADA Replicator, and WebSurv.
Survalent Technology Eastern US Sales VP Steve Strauss said WKRECC will benefit from advanced tools that will add ease in creating their database and screen graphics.
”The use of WebSurv & SurvCentral provides an advanced platform for secure viewing of SCADA screens through the utility’s intranet and the internet with display optimization for mobile devices,” Strauss added.
WKRECC is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative and is also a member of the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA), the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives (KAEC) and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
