The Suoi Vanh hydroelectric power plant in Vietnam’s Lam Dong province resumed operation in late June after a break of two years for upgrading works.

According to the Vietnamese News Agency, the 63-year-old plant – the country’s oldest hydroelectric power station – had its generating capacity increased by a quarter to 4.4MW. This will enable it to generate 25MkWh of electricity each year. The work cost VND 37B (US$2.3M).
