EPC contractor Ecomax will install 13MW of the total capacity for its customer Farmdo, while it will build and operate solar installations totaling 7MW and plans to sell the energy to local utility companies. Ecomax will also own 3MW as an independent power producer.

Ecomax president Tadanaga Komori said the company has partnered with SunPower to install its high efficiency E20/327 solar panels.

"Our environmentally conscious customers such as Farmdo will benefit from clean energy generated by these solar systems," added Komori.

Ecomax will continue to purchase SunPower’s E20/327 solar panels for its future installations under an extension to the existing solar panel purchase agreement.

Backed by a 25-year combined product and power warranty, the E20/327 solar panels with an efficiency of 20.1% are integrated with SunPower’s Maxeon all-back contact solar cells.

The company claims the E20/327 panels offer the industry’s lowest power degradation with more warranted energy, resulting in 87% power level at the end of 25 years.
