The drop-in biofuels plant will yield about 50 million gallons of renewable gasoline every year.
The collaboration follows signing of a front end engineering and licensing agreement between Sundrop Fuels and Uhde Corp of America, a unit of ThyssenKrupp USA.
Sundrop plans to use ThyussenKrupp’s High Temperature Winkler gasification process at the new plant coupled with other technologies for gas cleanup, methanol synthesis, and the methanol-to-gasoline conversion.
Sundrop Fuels, within the plant, will demonstrate its proprietary process for biomass conversion incorporating the company’s patented RP Reactor.
Work on the facility will commence late this year and will have a capacity of about 3,500 barrels of renewable gasoline per day upon completion.
