The company said that its carbon management portal collects data from multiple streams for all scopes 1, 2 and 3, and communicates emerging market intelligence, develop strategic goals alongside clients, assess portfolio opportunities and manage carbon risk. Emissions and usage can be benchmarked against baseline data or business indicators, such as production and sales metrics.
Summit’s portal reports emissions under emerging EPA, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), UK Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) and similar global reporting protocols.
John Hoekstra, director of sustainability at Summit Energy, said: “Summit provides a completely automated ECA solution without the need for software updates, internal IT involvement or the outlay of additional time and resources. In effect, companies working with Summit are simultaneously more informed and less involved.
“Dependable sustainability and ECA reporting depends upon accurate data, which requires time and expertise to efficiently collect and validate prior to loading into a system. Unlike software programs that pass that burden onto the end-user, Summit’s solution includes this crucial first step of gathering and verifying all pertinent data, which leverages our global data management process for utility data.”
