Beginning in June 2010, new regulations take effect which will require trans-mix processors to satisfy ultra-low sulfur diesel specifications. Upon achievement of agreed upon technical requirements to produce ultra-low sulfur diesel, SulphCo and Golden Gate Petroleum intend to enter into a commercial arrangement for the installation and operation of a SulphCo Sonocracking unit at Golden Gate Petroleum’s facilities.

We believe that our Sonocracking technology is uniquely capable of providing a cost effective solution for the sulfur removal challenges at Golden Gate Petroleum’s trans-mix facility and we look forward to working with the management of Golden Gate Petroleum to accomplish their commercial and environmental goals.”
This is the second LoI that SulphCo has executed to address the challenges of the trans-mix market. In September 2009, the company announced a similar agreement with Laguna Development Corporation.
