The acquisitions of Canadian firm Poseidon and the UK-based B&V Group will enable Suez Environnement to strengthen its offerings for global industrial clients.

Poseidon designs and manufactures a range of compact separator systems by flotation for industrial water treatment.

The company’s portfolio of technologies are used in wastewater and process water treatment with solutions spanning oil & gas, pulp & paper and food & beverage sectors.

B&V manufactures and commercializes conditioning products and technical services for water related infrastructures including cooling circuits, boiler systems and effluent treatment.

B&V Group is made up of B&V Water Treatment, B&V Effluent Services, B&V Training Academy and B&V Oil and Gas.

Suez Environnement deputy chief executive officer in charge of international activities Marie-Ange Debon said: "We are delighted that these two companies joined SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT. It will further contribute to our position on the industrial water market, one of the Group’s four strategic priorities."

Suez Environnement provides drinking water to 92 million people and delivers wastewater treatment services for 65 million people and collects the waste produced by 52 million people.

The company, which employs 79,550 people, generated total revenues of €14.6bn in 2013.
