STW Resources, Inc. (STW Resources), a US based water treatment company, has appointed Eric D. Pedersen as chief executive officer (CEO) and chairman of the company's board. Pedersen replaces Gene Brock, who served as interim chairman and interim CEO prior to Pedersen’s appointment. Brock is returning to his role as president of the company. Pedersen has over 20 years of mergers and acquisitions and financing transaction experience, a significant portion of which has been in the water industry.

Earlier joining the company, Pedersen co-managed The Water Fund, LP (The Water Fund), includes utilities, infrastructure, and technology companies. Prior to joining The Water Fund, Pedersen led the business development group at GE Water & Process Technologies (GE Water), and the company’s partner in bringing water reclamation to the oil and gas industry. While at GE Water, Pedersen completed numerous acquisitions and divestitures of water-related businesses.

Before joining GE, Pedersen completed a long career as an investment banker which he started in 1988 at Dillon Read & Co. Inc. Pedersen left Dillon Read in 1995 to co-found and manage Pedersen Kammert & Co. LLC, particularly in the water and environmental services sectors. Pedersen has earned his MBA from The Wharton Graduate School of Business and was graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University with a BA degree.

“We are delighted to bring someone with Eric’s skill set aboard,” Brock commented. “The depth of his experience in both the finance and water sectors is very complementary to our already strong management bench.” Pedersen added, “The combination of STW’s oilfield and project management capability with GE’s robust technology creates a partnership that can provide truly unique solutions to our customers’ product water challenges. I am very excited to be part of this dedicated and capable team.”
