The well license and surface lease Agreement have been transferred to Big Lake Energy.
The well is to be drilled to the Bakken Formation and will core and evaluate both the Viking Formation and the Bakken Formation.
A horizontal leg will be drilled and completed in one of the two primary targets.
The well is expected to spud later in April.
Strongbow is also negotiating a number of additional oil and gas leases through which it intends to expand its operations in Canada and the US.
