Stripes stores said that the Xflo meters will help its sites, located in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, reduce the cost of fuel lost to meter drift. Additionally, Xflo meters reportedly help retailers serve more customers in less time through flow rates.
The company also stands to benefit from the flow rate provided by the Xflo meter’s less restrictive design. It features a direct hydraulic flow path that reduces pressure loss by 30%.
Scott Negley, director of North America product management for Dresser Wayne, said: “Fluctuating fuel prices have made the cost of meter drift more of a concern. The Xflo meter’s accuracy can correlate to a fast return on investment and ongoing savings.”
Primarily known as the Wayne Oil Tank Company, Dresser Wayne is engaged in the retail and fleet fueling industry since it designed its first pump in 1891. After a merger with Dresser Industries in 1968, it poised to meet the market need for fuel dispensers in response to the advent of lead-free gasoline.
