Under the three year agreement, TDW will continue to use its remotely-operated SmartPlug pipeline pressure isolation tool to perform the isolation operations on pipelines ranging from 8-inch to 48-inches.
The agreement has an option to renew it for another two years.
TDW Offshore Services Operations director Larry Ryan said the extension of the agreement is a result of 10 years of relationship between the two companies.
"It is rewarding to see that Statoil continues to put its faith in TDW by awarding this extremely important contract to us," Ryan added.
"This cooperative approach has helped us respond to Statoil’s needs."
Statoil PRS pool manager Jan Olav Berge said, "Since TDW began providing pressure isolation services, Statoil has had the benefit of working with specialists within their field, utilizing professional and cost-effective equipment."
The isolation operations that TDW perform on the pipelines are a part of Statoil’s critical hub in Norway’s network of submarine gas trunklines and are a vital link in the country’s gas transport system to Continental Europe.
