A power plant is expected to be set up in the district of Jaffna to compensate for the losses in the region. The new generating station is estimated to save up to LKR1.5bn ($11.81m), reported ColomboPage.
The ministry has also taken measures to upgrade and modify power generating facilities that have been operating for a very long time.
In addition, the authorities are attempting to streamline the procedures to maximize efficiency so that the burdens on people could be minimized.
