The Energies Division of Alsthom Canada will design, manufacture and install two spherical gates at the Sainte-Marguerite 3 hydroelectric project.
Designed to protect the 441MW Francis turbines at the project, the 3.2m diameter gates will be delivered in May 2000 and are scheduled to begin operation in 2001.
The contract is valued at C$10M.
