The ground mounted plant is located in the city of Nancy and is one of three that constitute the 115MW Toul-Rosieres solar park.

Commenting on the development Sonnedix chairman Franck Constant highlighted the transaction was one of the largest closures achieved for a solar project in Europe.

The financial closure was secured in partnership with HSH Nordbank.

HSH Nordbank senior vice president of renewable energy Romain Peteuil added, "We are very proud to working with Sonnedix who demonstrates highly professional and entrepreneurial values in line with our strategy"

The plant commenced electricity generation in the first half of 2012 and has the capacity to produce 26GWh renewable energy per annum.
