SOLON will provide almost 30,000 SOLON Black 220/16 and 230/07 monocrystalline solar modules which will be used for various projects.

The different projects are scheduled to be connected to grids in the months of July and August.

SOLON Energy CEO Stefan Säuberlich said the Greek photovoltaic market is growing despite the country’s difficult economic situation.

"The amount of sunlight in the region reaches peak values throughout almost the entire year," Säuberlich added.

"It therefore makes good business sense to be present in this future market with a local partner."

The solar modules are manufactured in Berlin and Greifswald, Germany and will be mounted on solar power plants in the northern Greek cities of Kavala, Xanthi, Kastoria and Drama.

SOLON is a producer of solar power modules and solar systems for rooftop, roof integrated and greenfield installations.
