Manufacturer of solar energy systems SolFocus has completed a 1.25MW solar park in Italy for Sistema Solare.

The new solar park spans across two central Italian sites Aveani and Savini.

Ren IT developed and designed the concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) power plants while Delta Group carried out the engineering, procurement and construction services.

The project adopts SolFocus’ CPV technology that utilizes a system of reflective optics to concentrate sunlight 650 times onto small solar cells, and features dual-axis tracking for consistent energy delivery throughout the day.

Outlining its future plans Sistema Solare chairman Francesco Marini said that the company was aiming to add 10 MW in the near future.

"Together with the developer Ren It we are building a pipeline of approximately 100 MW in the Middle East and Latin American regions," added Marini.
