Southern California Edison (SCE) of the USA has recently cleared its last significant regulatory hurdle prior to its being permitted to enter the telecoms market.
The California Public Utilities Commission has announced that it has unanimously granted SCE the certification that it needs in order to be able to conduct business as a telecommunications service provider within its control area.
SCE has said that it intends to be a “provider’s provider”, and that it will be supplying high volume voice and data carrying capacity.
