Khafji Joint Operations is a joint venture between Aramco Gulf Operations Company and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC). The value of the five-year contract was not disclosed.
Under the contract, SNC-Lavalin will perform many front-end studies, preliminary and detailed engineering, and offer procurement and construction management services for onshore, offshore hydrocarbon and industrial projects.
SNC-Lavalin Group senior vice-president and general manager Ric Sorbo said the latest contract further strengthens its hydrocarbon footprint with Aramco and provides a first chance to work with KGOC.
"Our track record in the offshore upstream sector was a key reason for this success," Sorbo added.
The company will execute the contract work from its two offices – one in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and the othe in London, UK.
