The value of the contract was not disclosed.
Under the contract, SNC will be responsible for a part of the detailed design of the barge-launched jacket. HFGE and SNC will jointly carry out the engineering detail of the 16,000 ton jacket.
SNC-Lavalin UK senior vice-president and general manager Hafez Aghili said that the company has earlier worked with HFGE on the record-breaking Valemon jacket for Statoil.
Statoil renamed the Dangy field as Gina Krog field located in the North Sea. The company has plans to develop the oil, gas and condensate field, using a fixed platform tied into the Sleipner field for gas export, while oil will be offloaded to shuttle tankers.
The project is scheduled to become operational in the first quarter of 2017.
