Smartcool Systems, a clean technology company offering energy efficiency retrofit products, has secured a new blanket purchase order for 2,000 energy efficient ECO3 units from two of its Florida regional partners, Smartcool Southeast and Global Energy Services.

The ECO3, which is claimed to reduce electricity consumption of the compressors in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heat pump systems, will be offered to meet the increasing demand from businesses, non-profit organizations and homeowners within the Florida and Southeast markets.

Till date, Smartcool Southeast and Global Energy Services have installed more than 700 ECO3 units in the residential, hospitality, restaurant, commercial and retail sectors across the Sunshine State, indicating a strong potential for Smartcool Systems’ energy efficiency products within this market.

Smartcool Southeast president Bruce Kemp said that with the ECO3, Smartcool Southeast is able to provide their customers with the same quality of climate control, while saving them money and ultimately greenhouse gas emissions.

“Air conditioning and refrigeration consume the lion’s share of energy in the Southeast. As an HVAC contractor and energy efficiency solutions provider, we are always looking for ways to help our customers get the most out of their air conditioning and refrigeration systems,” Kemp said.
