A new European Commission (EC) initiative has been launched to encourage intelligent use of energy across Europe.
The managEnergy initiative was set up as a European partnership aimed at local and regional energy management agencies. This initiative will help identify expertise and success obtained to date through projects and other relevant activities carried out in various regions and localities through Europe.
A website has been developed, www.managenergy.net, to disseminate the results of successful projects as widely as possible.
It will feature case studies and offers profiles and contact details of energy agencies and other relevant organisations focusing on renewables, energy efficiency and clean urban transport at the local and regional level.
The website will also include information on relevant legislation and standards, as well as a partner search function.
