The Cellunator high-shear milling equipment is a leading yield-enhancement technology that offers the most significant and consistent increase in ethanol yield and corn oil production.
The Pathway Technology integrates the Cellunator equipment with cellulase enzymes to convert corn kernel fiber to cellulosic ethanol.
The Pathway Technology utilizes existing fermentation and distillation equipment to produce up to 2.5% cellulosic ethanol and up to a 7% increase in overall ethanol yield.
Siouxland Energy Cooperative expects to begin producing cellulosic ethanol in the fourth quarter of 2016. There is no capital investment associated with the enzymatic process for producing cellulosic ethanol.
Edeniq is the leader in developing analytical methods to quantify cellulosic ethanol co-produced with conventional ethanol during fermentation, which is required to access regulatory value including D3 Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs), California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits, and the Second Generation Biofuel Producer tax credit.
