At Siemens, Mr Christian is responsible for the global power distribution business. Prior to his appointment as the division’s CEO, he had been head of the high voltage division of the former Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution Group, since December 2004.
The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Europe Association, which was established in March 2008, will assume an important role in the development and discussion of sound positions, projects and measures in the EU.
It expects to play an important role as an accepted discussion partner of the EU Commission and EU Parliament in defining the energy policy objectives of the EU in relation to electricity supply networks.
