The solar plant, with a rating of 4MWp, will be erected in Dobre Pole, around 50km south of Brno. After completion, scheduled for end of 2010, the plant will provide nearly 1,000 households in the Czech Republic with environmentally friendly power.
As the general contractor, Siemens is responsible for the turnkey construction, engineering and project management of the plant. The scope of supply includes the full balance of plant range with Siemens components, such as inverters, transformers, medium-voltage equipment as well as the control system.
Rene Umlauft, CEO of renewable energy division at Siemens, said: “This first order from the Czech Republic underlines once again that we are on the right track with our photovoltaic plants business. As a full-range supplier with convincing project management, we expect further orders for medium-sized photovoltaic power plants in the future.”
