Siemens has been awarded a series of orders for compressors and compressor trains in China worth more than €42 million.

Under contract to Yisheng Dahua Petrochemical, a recently formed joint venture, Siemens will supply two compressor trains for a PTA production plant in Dalian, in the Liaonin Province of northeast China. The two identical compressor trains will each consist of a five-stage air compressor and a radial expansion turbine. They will be driven by SST-600 steam turbines.

Siemens has also secured orders from Linde Engineering for the new Shougang Jingtang iron and steel mill in Caofeidian, located some 220km northeast of Beijing. The company will supply two identical high-pressure air compressors and two nitrogen product compressors.

In addition, for a chemical plant operated by the Huainan Chemical Group Siemens will supply a compressor train comprising an STC-SH radial single-shaft compressor and an STC-GV high-pressure integrally geared compressor. The two compressors are required for oxygen supply to the chemical plant in Huainan in southeast China.
