Siemens Gamesa has agreed to supply 16 of its onshore wind turbines for four projects in Germany with a combined capacity of 50.6MW.
The projects will be located in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
Siemens Gamesa will deliver seven SWT-3.0-113 turbines for the Brebek wind farm in Karlum and Ladelund municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein.
The turbines, which are being built on steel towers with hub heights of 115m, are due be commissioned in the summer.
A further four SWT-3.0-113 turbines will be delivered to the Süderauerdorf wind project near Glückstadt on the Elbe.
One SWT-3.2-113 turbine with a 92.5m hub height will replace a turbine installed in 2002 near Bredstedt in Northern Frisia.
Siemens Gamesa will also be responsible for service and maintenance at all three wind farms for 20 years.
The company will also expand GETEC Green Energy’s Zerbst wind farm in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt with four SWT-3.6-130 turbines. It has already supplied 10 direct drive turbines for the project.
