The company did not disclose the details about the company that had placed the order. Under the contract, the Spanish company will supply 103 of its G126-2.5 MW turbines.
Each of the turbines has a tower height of 153m and a blade length of 62m. The turbines will stretch 215m tall.
The wind farm will be located in the province of Chaiyaphum, in northeast Thailand. Delivery of the turbines is expected to take place next May and will be commissioned at the end of the year. The company will also operate and maintain the wind facilty as part of the contract.
The company opines that the order can help it position itself as the leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supplier in the Asia Pacific region.

In early November, Siemens Gamesa announced that it had been selected by undisclosed customer to supply different types of wind turbines for five onshore wind projects in the US.
The firm agreed to supply 310 of wind turbines with various output ratings and rotor diameters for projects which have combined generation capacity of more than 780MW.
Under the contract, Siemens Gamesa will deliver a total of 92 units of the SWT-2.3-108, 144 units of the SWT-2.625-120 and 74 units of the G126-2.625 MW wind turbines for installation at various project sites.
